Mohamed Aly El-Erian is an Egyptian-American economist and businessman. He is one of the world’s most watched, followed, and respected businessmen.

3. Education: He completed his bachelor’s degree in economics in 1980. He later obtained a master’s degree (1983) and a doctorate (1985) in economics from St Antony’s College, Oxford. In June 2011, El-Erian received an honorary doctorate degree from the American University in Cairo. In December 2013, he became an honorary fellow of Queens College, Cambridge.
